Privacy Policy

Your StandBy widgets are designed to stay on your phone. This policy explains the limited situations where Foldy or a service you choose sends information elsewhere.

Who is responsible

Information that stays on your device

StandBy position detection processes hinge, motion, proximity, lock-screen and display state locally to decide when to show the clock. No sensor stream or posture history is sent to MCODE. A position you save, your widget choices, appearance, activation setting, onboarding progress and selected photo references are stored in private app storage.

If you enable a content feature, Foldy processes the selected information on your device:

• Calendar: the calendars you select and event titles/times needed for the upcoming-events widget.
• Photos: only the images you explicitly select, using Android's document picker. Foldy does not request broad gallery access or upload those images.
• Notifications and activities: current permitted notification content, processed in memory for the enabled views; private and secret notification text is excluded.

These items can be visible on the lock screen if you enable their widgets. Remove selections or disable access in Foldy or Android settings. Samsung Phone and Clock remain responsible for calls and alarms.

Optional weather and location

Weather is optional. If you choose your current location, Foldy requests approximate foreground location. It rounds the coordinates to two decimal places and sends them securely to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) to obtain a forecast. MET Norway receives the network request's IP address and the publisher contact included to identify Foldy's API traffic. The visible weather widget checks no more often than once per hour, subject to service caching or back-off.

You can instead search for a city without granting Foldy location access. Android's configured geocoding provider processes that search. Google Play services or your device's location provider may process a current-location request under their own terms. Foldy does not track your movement in the background. The selected place and cached forecast remain on the device.

Purchases

Google Play processes payments. Foldy uses RevenueCat, Inc. to check whether a purchase grants Foldy Pro access. The RevenueCat SDK creates a random, anonymous app-user identifier when no account is supplied. Purchase validation can involve this identifier, purchase history, product and entitlement status, receipts or purchase tokens, and technical request/device information. The RevenueCat Android SDK is configured with advertising-identifier collection and optional diagnostics disabled. MCODE does not receive your card number through Foldy.

Purchase data is required to validate and restore purchases and is retained by Google Play and RevenueCat according to their policies and retention controls. You can request deletion of the RevenueCat customer record from MCODE at the contact below; this may affect purchase lookup or restoration for the anonymous ID. Google Play account and transaction records remain governed by Google's terms and legal retention duties.

Website request logs

This policy and the terms are hosted on Firebase Hosting. When you open these pages, Google Firebase Hosting processes request data such as an IP address and browser/request details to deliver the site, prevent abuse and provide service logs. Google documents that Firebase Hosting retains IP data for a few months. The static pages do not use advertising, analytics cookies, tracking pixels or a contact form.

Why and on what basis

MCODE processes information locally to provide the StandBy features you choose and to carry out a purchase you request. Optional permissions and connections run only after your choice and can be withdrawn in system settings. Limited website and transaction records support service security, purchase validation, support and legal obligations. Where consent applies, withdrawing it stops future processing that depends on the permission; it does not undo prior lawful processing or disable records that must be retained by the payment provider.

Sharing and international processing

MCODE does not sell personal information or upload your selected calendar events, photos, notification contents or sensor stream. Information is sent only to providers needed for a feature you choose: Google Play and RevenueCat for purchases, MET Norway for weather, the configured geocoder/location provider for location, and Google Firebase Hosting for website delivery. These providers process information under their own terms and may process it in other countries.

Retention and security

App settings, the chosen place and photo references stay in app storage until you remove them, clear Foldy's data or uninstall the app. Current notification information is not kept as a history by Foldy. Cached weather is refreshed subject to the limits above. Firebase Hosting and payment providers control their own log and transaction retention. MCODE does not operate a Foldy account database. Data in transit for remote requests uses HTTPS; access to on-device app storage is subject to Android's application sandbox and device security.

Your choices and rights

You can choose not to enable optional features, revoke Android permissions, remove selected content, stop automatic StandBy, clear app data or uninstall Foldy. If EU/EEA data-protection law applies, you may ask MCODE to access, correct, erase or restrict personal data, object where the law provides that right, or request portability. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact MCODE to exercise a right or raise a concern. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in Croatia this is the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP). Mandatory legal retention and third-party records may limit deletion.

Children

Foldy is a general-purpose utility and does not provide a child account or knowingly collect children's information through an account system. Purchases are handled by the Google Play account holder. A parent or guardian who has a privacy concern can contact MCODE.

Changes

MCODE may update this policy when Foldy or its providers change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page.
